Sarah Moore, MD

Dr. Moore is an assistant professor of medicine at New York University School of Medicine and a clinician-educator at Bellevue Hospital where she practices primary care. Dr. Moore obtained her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at NYU School of Medicine.

She has served as the director of primary care for the Bellevue/NYU program for survivors of torture since 2015. She is drawn to work with PSOT and at Bellevue in general in part because of its clear mission to deliver the highest quality of health care with “dignity, cultural sensitivity and compassion, regardless of ability to pay.” Her professional interests also include medical education, behavior change, and obesity medicine. Dr. Moore is an outpatient site director for NYU’s Internal Medicine Residency Program overseeing the 90+ residents that have continuity clinic at Bellevue. In 2012 she received a grant to design a curriculum focused on motivational interviewing and behavior change. In addition to outpatient primary care she sees patients weekly in the Bellevue weight management clinic.
