The Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Anesthesiology is actively recruiting qualified candidates for faculty positions at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital at the Upper East Side campus. We are one of the nation’s top hospitals. Our main campus is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and we also provide services to The David H. Koch ambulatory care center, our state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, NYP Lower Manhattan Hospital and NYP/Queens.
We are seeking motivated and highly qualified individuals who demonstrate a strong academic commitment. Our subspecialty divisions include: abdominal transplantation, ambulatory, cardiac, critical care, multi-specialty, neuroanesthesiology, obstetric, pain management, pediatric, regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine (RAAPM), and thoracic anesthesiology.
All candidates must be ABA eligible or certified and be eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in New York State. The full-time clinical compensation range is based on experience and subspecialty training from $350,000 - $425,000 per annum plus significant additional pay for short and long call work. Clinical faculty take variable overnight / weekend / holiday calls which generates approximately $50,000 - $100,000 in additional compensation and post call days off specific to call work.
Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs. The above salary range for New York City based roles represents WCM’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
