Director of Perioperative Echocardiography
The Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medicine is actively recruiting a motivated and highly skilled Director of Perioperative Echocardiography to join our world class team at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. We are one of the nation's top hospitals with a main campus located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We also provide services to the David H. Koch ambulatory care center, our state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
The Director of Perioperative Echocardiography will be responsible for overseeing point of care (PoCUS) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) including resource allocation, acquisition and maintenance of equipment, and quality review within the department, including all perioperative and critical care uses. We are seeking a cardiac anesthesiologist who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and eager for career advancement in a dynamic and supportive environment.
All candidates must be ABA eligible or certified and eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in New York State, and be a diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography. The full-time clinical compensation range is based on experience and subspecialty training from $365,000 - $440,000 per annum plus significant additional pay for short and long call work. Clinical faculty take variable overnight/weekend/holiday calls which generates approximately $50,000 - $100,000 in additional compensation and post call days off specific to call work.
Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs. The above salary range for New York City based roles represents Weill Cornell Medicine's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
