Education and Research
Contribute to one of our academic research projects along with the fellows, residents and medical students. Several active IRB protocols and research opportunities are available for engagement. Find out how you can get involved by contacting our global health research team.
Residency Elective Abroad
Faculty are encouraged to participate in global health electives. This involves the supervision of two CA-3 residents in conjunction with the global health fellow for the duration of the two-week elective abroad. Additionally, faculty provide mentorship to resident physicians as they develop and complete their academic global health project during and after the trip.
Departmental support for faculty participation in residency electives abroad includes:
- One additional week of vacation for participation in the elective.
- A financial stipend which should cover the entire cost of travel, lodging and food; access to i9 funds if this stipend is exceeded.
Other global health opportunities include working with the Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights, and participation in resident and medical student education. If you are interested in learning more about our programs and how to get involved, email Dr. Gunisha Kaur.
