Assistant Professor Positions — General Anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens
The Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens (NYPQ) is expanding its faculty. We are actively recruiting qualified physicians for faculty positions in general anesthesiology and certain subspecialties in locations in Queens, NY.
NYPQ is a 535 certified bed hospital, academic quarternary teaching hospital, with a CMS 5-Star rating with 21 operating rooms, an Endoscopy Unit with 4 procedure rooms, a Cardiac Cath lab, 2 cardiac operating rooms, and a busy obstetric service. NYPQ provides anesthesia services for ~3000 deliveries per year and ~27,000 surgical procedures. The clinical work is faculty focused with a balance of work with CRNAs, and we are affiliated with multiple CRNA schools. Faculty take variable overnight in-house and pager calls, and do incentivized late work as needed.
We are seeking motivated and highly qualified individuals who are looking for a rewarding clinical career in a large academic medical system. All candidates must be ABA Certified or board eligible, as well as eligible for medical licensure in New York State. The full-time clinical compensation range, based on experience and subspecialty training and overall seniority, ranges from $350,000 - $425,000 per annum plus additional pay for short and long call work. The call work and additional incentives for late work generate approximately $90,000 in additional compensation plus post-call days.

The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, leadership roles, and hospital/community needs.
