The Richie Lyons CRNA of the Year Award is given annually to a CRNA working at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital who exhibits leadership, professionalism, compassion, diplomacy, loyalty and dedication. Previously called the LMH CRNA of the Year Award, it has been renamed to honor the late Richie Lyons, a nurse anesthetist who exemplified these qualities for over 40 years while practicing at the current site of Lower Manhattan Hospital. He was the recipient of this award in 2019 and was honored with similar accolades throughout his career. Richie is remembered by all those who were so fortunate as to work with him, and his example continues to inspire the highest level of patient care.
