Class of 2013 Honored at Recent Resident Graduation

The Department of Anesthesiology met for a reception and dinner on May 31, 2013 at Guastavino’s in New York City to celebrate the graduation of the Anesthesiology Residency Class of 2013. In addition to celebrating all of the graduates, several awards were presented to members of the class.

Recent ABC Report on Chronic Pain Highlights Dr. Mehta

Dr. Neel Mehta, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, was featured in a report on on WTVD-11, the ABC affiliate in Raleigh-Durham. The report discussed chronic pain, and the experiences of one patient, Catherine Vonderhude. The report turned to Dr. Mehta to explore the neurostimulation treatment, how it works, and what its effects are.

Dr. Mehta Featured in NY1 Report on Back Pain

Television station NY1 featured Dr. Neel Mehta, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in a recent report on back pain. The report focused on the experiences of 71-year-old patient, Stella Yontar, who was seeking treatment for the condition spinal stenosis. Dr. Mehta discussed Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD), as well as othe treatment options.
