The Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) held its Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada from May 14-18, 2014. The conference drew participants from Well Cornell Anesthesiology’s Faculty, Fellowship, and Residency. Our anesthesiologists’ successful poster presentations at the SOAP conference demonstrate that Weill Cornell Anesthesiology’s academic program in Obstetric Anesthesiology continues to grow.
Four Weill Cornell anesthesiologists were lead authors on findings that were presented at poster sessions at SOAP. These were: Klaus Kjaer, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology; Jeremy Pick, MD, Fellow in Obstetric Anesthesiology; Mohammad Piracha, MD, Anesthesiology Resident (Class of 2015); and Mahendra Samaru, MD, Anesthesiology Resident (Class of 2015). Co-authors included: Sharon Abramovitz, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology; Alaeldin Darwich, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology; and James Littlejohn, MD, PhD, Anesthesiology Chief Resident (2013-14).
