Evaluation of Wearables for Preoperative Cardiorespiratory Fitness Screening and Risk Stratification in Geriatric Surgery

The objectives of this study are to identify wearable health monitor derived biometric parameters that improve our understanding of patient cardiorespiratory fitness and surgical risk stratification, develop regression models for prediction of postoperative morbidity and prognosis, and to evaluate the accuracy of wearable-derived biometrics for estimation of functional exercise capacity. This study is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
