Drs. Jaime Aaronson and Sheida Tabaie, assistant professors of clinical anesthesiology, have been elected as associate members of the Association of University Anesthesiologists (AUA).
Associate membership in the AUA is open to faculty who demonstrate excellence in scholarly research, leadership or educational activity.
Dr. Aaronson is the associate director of the obstetric anesthesiology division and an associate residency program director. Dr. Tabaie is medical director of the PACU and assistant chief of critical care anesthesiology.
The mission of the AUA is to promote excellence in academic anesthesiology through mentorship; promotion of diversity and inclusivity; and professional growth throughout the careers of educators, academic leaders, and researchers.
