Dr. Jon Samuels, assistant professor of clinical anesthesiology, was inducted as a Fellow to the New York Academy of Medicine on November 1.
Academy Fellows, elected by their peers, are distinguished professionals in medical and health professions and other disciplines affecting health, who embody the highest levels of achievement and leadership in urban health.
Dr. Samuels joins five department members who are also Academy Fellows. They are Drs. Farida Gadalla, Hugh Hemmings, Jr., Patricia Fogarty Mack, Vinod Malhotra and Zachary Turnbull. Drs. Alan Van Poznak and Marjorie Topkins, professors emeriti of anesthesiology, are Lifetime Fellows of the Academy.
