The Department of Anesthesiology was represented at the 2017 Cabaret, the signature annual fundraiser to benefit NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine. The black-tie celebration, held on November 8 at Chelsea Piers, raised more than $3.6 million to support the institution’s ongoing work in patient care, research and medical education.
Among the attendees from the Department of Anesthesiology were Drs. Ralph Slepian, Allison Spatz, Vinod Malhotra, Vidya Malhotra, David Stein and wife Heidi Liss, Michelle Carley and husband Brian Nicholas, Melanie Witte and Department Chair Hugh Hemmings. They joined hosts Dr. Steven J. Corwin, president and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian, and Dr. Augustine M.K. Choi, dean of Weill Cornell Medicine, along with more than 900 benefactors, faculty, patients and guests.
