Department of Anesthesiology researchers Drs. Crina Nimigean and Simon Scheuring were invited speakers at the 2018 Gordon Research Conference on Ligand Recognition and Molecular Gating, held March 4-9 in Ventura, California.

Dr. Vinod Malhotra, professor of clinical anesthesiology and vice chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Anesthesiology, has been named president-elect of the Academy of Anesthesiology. He will assume the presidency of the academy in March 2019.
