Study Provides New Insight into How Scramblase Proteins Rearrange Cell Membranes

Scramblase function depends on membrane thickness. “A” shows a membrane that permits lipids to change positions near the protein groove, which narrows the membrane width. “B” shows a thicker membrane that resists lipid scrambling because narrowing of the membrane near the groove is insufficient.

Dr. Vinod Malhotra To Retire

Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology had a strong presence at ASRA’s 47th Annual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Meeting, held March 31-April 2 in Las Vegas. Nineteen faculty members, fellows and residents attended the in-person meeting and delivered a dozen poster and podium presentations.
