The New York Academy of Medicine held its annual Anesthesiology Residents' Night on October 1, drawing residents from programs across New York and New Jersey. Nearly two dozen participants exhibited and defended their presentations to a panel of judges.
Drs. Christina Lee and Thomas Ng, CA-2 residents from Weill Cornell Medicine, tied for second place in the poster category.
Dr. Lee's poster, "Improving Paravertebral Block Workflow Efficiency," began as a quality improvement initiative during the residency program's Quality and Patient Safety course. Dr. Ng's winning poster was titled "Perioperative Torsades de Pointes in a Radical Neck Resection."
