NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center has selected Dr. Melvin La, a member of the Residency Class of 2018, as an Employee of the Month. Dr. La was recognized for consistently demonstrating clinical excellence over the course of his training.
In nominating him for the honor, Drs. June Chan and Residency Program Director Eric Brumberger highlighted a particularly challenging episode during which Dr. La worked tirelessly to look after critically ill patients having invasive surgery, ensuring that they received the very best care.
“Dr. La exemplifies the qualities of excellence, teamwork, professionalism, and represents the best of our specialty. It is a privilege to have Dr. La as part of our department, and this Hospital,” wrote Drs. Brumberger and Chan.
