Clinical faculty are invited to attend a 30-minute workshop on ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement.
For patients with difficult vascular access, this method is pragmatic and evidence-based. In addition to procedural skills, the workshop will provide instruction on appropriate vessel location, depth, and cannula selection to optimize survivability and decrease complications.
DATES AND TIMES
May 8, 9 or 10 from 3:00-5:30 pm.
Five 30-minute sessions will be offered each day; please choose one on the registration form.

AUDIENCE
Department of Anesthesiology faculty who practice or supervise in a clinical setting are encouraged to attend.

WORKSHOP AGENDA
There will be a brief lecture followed by hands-on simulation training with all of the necessary equipment, vascular simulation models from the SAIL lab, and ultrasounds.
