Aaron Weinberg currently serves as the Quality and Patient Safety Administrator for the Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. In his role, Aaron is responsible for managing the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement program, with a long-term goal of enhancing safety as well as quality and performance improvement outcomes. He provides key guidance on the curriculum, including resident-driven quality improvement projects. Collaborating with leadership, he strives to optimize standards of practice to meet patient care objectives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Aaron provides supervision and oversight helping to foster research and learning across a variety of projects and initiatives, ensuring continuous advancement and development.
Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration, along with a Master of Public Administration from C.W. Post – Long Island University. He also holds the esteemed ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. With over 20 years’ experience in quality and performance improvement, Aaron spent the last 11 years in multiple roles at University Hospital (formerly UMDNJ) in Newark NJ. There his duties included coordination of product and device recalls, managing patient safety and adverse events, and administering and working with a variety of data systems in quality analytics.
