Over 20 department members attended the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology's (SOAP) 55th Annual Meeting in New Orleans on May 3-7, 2023. Faculty in attendance included Dr. Klaus Kjaer, who serves as the president of SOAP; Dr. Sharon Abramovitz, chief of obstetric anesthesiology; and Drs. Jaime Aaronson, Dorian Batt, Joe Bryant-Huppert, Farida Gadalla, Hillary Gallen, Michael Kim, Danielle McCullough, and Jason White.
Also attending from the department were residents Drs. Linjia Jia, Domenic Pedulla, Walter Taylor and Christian Tilley; obstetric anesthesiology fellow Dr. Kristine Villegas; and CRNAs Cheryl Clements (BMH), Natasha Julien, Billy Miguez, Suzanne Panayiotou (LMH), Anastasia Rogers and Samantha Smith.
The SOAP Annual Meeting is recognized for its dynamic program, quality research presentations, and information on the latest advances in the practice of obstetric anesthesia.
