WCM Magazine Spotlights Anesthesiology Faculty

Drs. Eric Brumberger and Gunisha Kaur are featured in a Weill Cornell Medicine story about their popular new course, Global Heath Case Studies.

The course, which was offered on Cornell's undergraduate campus for the first time this past spring, brings Weill Cornell Medicine faculty to Ithaca to teach about global health from a broad perspective — looking at factors such as poverty and environmental issues that can impact health. Drs. Brumberger and Kaur, both Cornell alumni, received a 2016 Internationalizing the Cornell Curriculum grant to support their work.

"As an undergraduate, I would have loved access to the medical college and its faculty," says Dr. Kaur in the magazine story.

Kaur, an instructor in anesthesiology, leads the department's Global Health Initiative. Brumberger, an assistant professor of anesthesiology, is director of the residency at Weill Cornell Anesthesiology.
