The Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to announce its Match Day results for 2026. Twenty graduating medical students and two current residents matched into the residency program on March 20, the day medical students across the country learned where they will train as resident physicians.
The incoming class is an academically gifted group: eight hold advanced degrees including three MBAs and one MD-PhD who joins us as a Van Poznak Anesthesiology Research Scholar. Geograhpically, they come from across the country and around the globe, including one who attended medical school at our Global Health Initiative's partner institute in India.
Our new residents bring an exciting mix of talents and interests to our community: many enjoy travel, cooking, music, dance and sports of all kinds including several marathon runners.
