Dr. Lisa Q. Rong, an assistant professor of clinical anesthesiology, is the recipient of a Kaplan Leadership Development Award from the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA). The award assists cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesiologists in their careers by granting funding to further their leadership development through course work and leadership specific studies.
Dr. Rong’s leadership project aims to link advanced imaging to surgical outcomes by creating a collaborative inter-department and inter-institutional research databse.
“The executive coaching program will provide me key skills and insight that will enable me to move forward with the creation of a collaborative multi-disciplinary dtabase incorporating both imaging and clinical data,” Dr. Rong commented. “This will enable our field to answer large-scale questions on the predictive value of imaging in post-operative outcomes that have thus far been unaddressed.
Dr. Rong’s primary mentor is Dr. Kane Pryor.
