Weill Cornell Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to announce its Match Day results for 2020. Eighteen graduating medical students and two residents matched into the residency program on March 20, the day medical students across the country learn where they will train as resident physicians.
"Receiving our Match Lists has been a much-welcomed ray of sunlight during trying and uncertain days," said Dr. Eric Brumberger, assistant professor of anesthesiology and the residency program director. "We are excited to welcome them to our community of vibrant, dedicated and talented Weill Cornell anesthesiologists."
The new residents come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of talents to the department. Several hold advanced degrees including two PhDs and two master's in public health. One resident joins us as a Van Poznak Research Scholar.
We look forward to welcoming them on July 1.
