The Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Anesthesiology's Diversity Visiting Student Sub-Internship Program is a funded program for fourth year medical students interested in anesthesiology. The program gives students who are traditionally underrepresented in anesthesiology the opportunity to rotate at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Intern at Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Anesthesiology
For the first two weeks, students will work alongside anesthesiology residents, and be exposed to all facets of their work within the Department of Anesthesiology. The third week will be spent at the Hospital for Special Surgery Anesthesiology Department, an immersive regional anesthesia program. During the final week, students will be assigned to an anesthesiology subspecialty of their preference: ICU, regional, pain management, or obstetrics. Students will attend daily housestaff didactics, a curriculum recognized as an Apple Distinguished Program for innovation, leadership and educational excellence.
