Assistant Professor Positions: subspecialties of Pediatric or Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is actively recruiting qualified candidates for faculty positions with expertise in the subspecialty fields of Pediatric Anesthesiology or Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. Located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, we are one of the nation’s top five hospitals. We provide services to our DHK ambulatory care center and our state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns which opened in 2020. Clinical faculty take variable pager-based call for approximately four weeks which generate approximately $50,000 in additional compensation and 15 post call days off specific to call work.
We are seeking motivated and highly qualified individuals who demonstrate a strong academic commitment and a genuine interest in developing clinical research or educational programs. The department has ACGME-accredited fellowships in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology, Critical Care Anesthesiology, Obstetric Anesthesiology and Regional and Acute Pain.
All candidates must have one year of post graduate experience or subspecialty fellowship, and be eligible for medical licensure in New York State, with additional board certification or eligibility within the related subspecialty. The full-time clinical compensation range is based on experience and subspecialty training from $350,000 - $425,000 per annum plus significant additional pay for short and long call work.
Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs. The above salary range for New York City based roles represents WCM’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
